Dessert Night

Each and every group has had their discussions hopefully during last week's bible study. Hoped that what you have learnt last week will help yourselves to cater for a much more purposeful life in Christianity...

Upcoming this week is the long anticipated Dessert Night...

Although it is the LAST WEEK of study or work before easter break, concentrate yourselves in your studies or work, eat healthy, stay healthy, aim for growth in spiritual life. Remember to have fun, but not too much as you are here to work or study, not for fun. Anyways, remember to prepare yourselves for this Friday night's service at Camberwell Methodist Church and also for your group's allocated programs for the Dessert Night...

If you have no idea what I am talking about, especially on the last part, just come on Saturday Night and enjoy yourself, for the pre-Easter celebration and of course, start of the Easter break!

Hopefully you all had an enjoyable weekend, less worried with assignments or work (hope so) for two days..

Anyways,
for this week's activity, it will be bible study based cell group sessions. Depending on your group/assistant group leader, you will be having your cell group sessions in between 22-27/3(depends on what day, which date, what place your leader chose and set). If you are not sure about where/when you will be meeting up or needing transportation, please contact your group leaders as soon as possible and save the time for the session.

Warming Night / 迎新会

The Welcoming Night is a success with around 16 newcomers. Sixty people came that day, including old and new members, which broke our record. A warm up game was introduced as an opening event on the night's agenda, with the aim to elevate the possibility of newcomers interacting with old members, followed by refreshment, to provide the opportunity of in depth interactions. Stephanie and Shirley, who joined us only last year, shared their feelings and thoughts of joining CMYF and how it affects their lives with all who are present and it is emphasized that CMYF is like a second home to them and they will continue to stay on this fellowship.

The highlights of the night are the drama performances which were presented by different cell groups. Although every group went all in with their effort, Patience group won first prize, presenting a collaborated drama of Moses, Avatar and the future.

It is hoped that the newcomers enjoyed our arrangement and accompaniment that night and will continue to stay on with us in this harmonious fellowship.

16 New Comers

This saturday, the event for CMYF will be "Welcoming Night". The aim of "Welcoming Night" is to attract more youth to join us in our fellowship. Besides, the event will also help us to improve the relationship between the old CMYF-ians and the new CMYF-ians. In short, they will know each other more and the new comers will not feel lonely when they come to the church. The objectives of the fellowship are to help all young people to :
1) Achieve a vital relationship with Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord;
2) Grow in Christian Character;
3) Render effective and joyous service to the Church and to the world;
4) Win others into the Kingdom of God.
The "Welcoming Night" will start at 6.30pm. Dont be late!

Moomba Festival

Welcome Back to Melbourne, CMYF-ians. Hope all of u enjoyed your holidays in your hometown. It has been a long time since the last outing we had. For this coming saturday, we will be hosting an outing to Moomba Festival at Melbourne. Moomba is Australia's largest free community festival and one of the longest running festivals in Australia. It was Held annually in the city of Melbourne, Australia. Moomba is celebrated during the Labour Day and has been celebrated since 1955.
